Hotel Brown's

Brown's Hotel holds the distinction of being London's first hotel, founded by James Brown — Lord Byron's butler — in 1837. Set on prestigious Albemarle Street in Mayfair, the hotel blends its rich heritage with the contemporary style of Rocco Forte's meticulous renovation. Alexander Graham Bell made the first telephone call in Britain from this very building.

Today, Brown's offers the acclaimed Charlie's restaurant by Adam Byatt, the intimate Donovan Bar adorned with Terence Donovan photography, and an English Tea Room serving one of Mayfair's best afternoon teas.
