The Great Northern Hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian gem, originally built in 1854 as one of London's first purpose-built railway hotels. Its distinctive curved facade wraps around the corner of King's Cross station, and a meticulous restoration has preserved original features — barrel-vaulted ceilings, ornate plasterwork and sweeping corridors — while adding contemporary comfort and style.
The GNR cocktail bar is a sophisticated spot for pre-dinner drinks, and Plum + Spilt Milk restaurant serves excellent modern British cuisine. “Quel hôtel magnifique. La restauration est superbe — on ressent l'histoire tout en profitant du confort moderne. Le bar GNR prépare d'excellents cocktails et nous avons pris la ligne Piccadilly directement jusqu'au théâtre. Parfait.”
