Plan Your Visit
Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. St George's Chapel is closed on Sundays and during services, and the State Apartments may occasionally be unavailable. Arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for security checks, and bring valid photo ID for ticket validation. The castle offers partial wheelchair and pushchair accessibility, and guide dogs are welcome.
Photography is not permitted inside the castle, though you may take photos in the castle grounds. Large bags and pushchairs are not allowed in the State Apartments, and food or drink consumption is prohibited in exhibition areas. You can enhance your visit with optional round-trip transfers from Central London via air-conditioned coach or train.
