Shrewsbury Prison: Self-Guided Tour

Shrewsbury Prison self-guided entry

Visit the former prison at The Dana in Shrewsbury and explore the spaces where daily prison life took place. The self-guided format lets you spend time in the wings, cells and landings without following a fixed guided route.

Plan your visit

The site remained operational until 2013. Allow time to read the interpretation and visit the museum areas. Check opening hours, accessibility and admission details for your chosen date. Guided tours and special activities are separate options.
