概要 シャード展望台チケット

The View from The Shard tickets: what you get

Book The View from The Shard tickets to ride the lifts to Level 68 in about 60 seconds, then see London from 244 metres up. Your ticket covers the indoor galleries on Levels 68 and 69 and the open-air Skydeck on Level 72, with 360-degree views that can reach 40 miles on a clear day. Tickets start from £24 per person, and the price changes with the date and time you choose. Every ticket includes 2 digital photos, and you can upgrade to a version with a glass of champagne or a London audio guide.

It is the highest public viewing platform in London, almost twice the height of any other viewpoint in the city. Interactive telescopes and information points help you name Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye, the Tower of London and Canary Wharf as the Thames curves below you.

Which ticket should you book?

All three options give the same entry to Levels 68, 69 and 72. The difference is what comes with it, and how flexible the booking is.

  • Standard Entry Ticket: the lowest price, with 2 digital photos. This ticket is not refundable once booked.
  • Entry Ticket with Champagne: adds a glass of champagne or a non-alcoholic drink and £5 credit for the on-site shop. You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your visit. See the The Shard champagne tickets page for the full details.
  • Entry Ticket with London City Audio Guide: adds about an hour of audio storytelling about the landmarks you can see. You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your visit.

Choose your date and entry time at checkout. Your mobile voucher is emailed to you shortly after you book, and you show it with a valid photo ID at the entrance.

Is The View from The Shard worth it?

Yes, if you want one view that explains the whole city. The galleries are glassed in, so rain does not ruin the visit, and the Level 72 Skydeck is open to the air for the photos that glass cannot give you. Sunset slots are the most popular and sell out first, while weekday visits are usually calmer. If you are choosing between viewpoints, compare it with the London Eye, which is a slow capsule ride over the river rather than a high-level panorama, and read our guide to London's observation decks or the full Shard visitor guide.

Plan your visit: times, entry and tips

The entrance is on Joiner Street, a 2 minute walk from London Bridge station (Northern and Jubilee lines, plus National Rail). Opening times vary by date and with events, so check the time on your ticket and the venue's website before you go. Last entry is 1 hour before closing. You can enter up to 15 minutes after the time printed on your ticket, but later arrivals may have to pay to rebook, so allow a buffer for security.

  • How long to allow: most visitors spend 45 to 90 minutes. There is no time limit once you are inside.
  • Security: all guests go through screening, and bags are x-rayed.
  • Bags: bags and backpacks larger than 55 x 38 x 20 cm are not allowed and cannot be stored. Folded pushchairs can be left free of charge in the booking hall.
  • Photos: hand-held cameras are welcome. Tripods and monopods are not permitted.
  • Food and drink: only items bought inside are allowed. Drinks and snacks are sold on Levels 69 and 72.
  • Weather: Level 72 is exposed to wind, so bring a layer.

Children, accessibility and the View Guarantee

Children aged 3 and under go free, and under 18s must be with an adult. The viewing levels are step-free by lift, with chairs on request, accessible toilets on Levels 1 and 68, and guide dogs welcome. There are 15 steps from the street to the booking hall, with a small lift beside them. If poor visibility stops you spotting at least three of the London Eye, the Walkie Talkie, Tower Bridge, One Canada Square and St Paul's Cathedral, ask the duty manager before you leave for a return voucher valid for 3 months. Terms apply, and the voucher must be claimed on the day.

Make a day of it near London Bridge

You are minutes from Borough Market and the river. Walk east to Tower Bridge, try London Dungeon tickets for something darker, or join a guided walk with a Shard ticket, such as the Westminster and London Bridge small-group walking tour. More ideas are in our things to do in London guide.
