Shoreditch, London
Ace Hotel Shoreditch is the creative heart of east London's hotel scene. Set in a purpose-built building on Shoreditch High Street, the hotel doubles as a cultural hub — the lobby buzzes with freelancers, the basement gallery hosts rotating exhibitions, and the rooftop offers one of London's best skyline views.
Hoi Polloi restaurant serves excellent all-day dining in a brasserie setting, and Miranda bar in the basement is a late-night destination in its own right. Rooms have a pared-back, industrial feel with exposed concrete, vintage furniture and turntables with vinyl collections. While Shoreditch is east of the traditional West End, the theatres are easily accessible — Liverpool Street is a ten-minute walk, and from there the Central line reaches Tottenham Court Road in six minutes.

“Great hotel with real personality. The room had a turntable with records — such a fun touch. Miranda bar was excellent for late-night cocktails. Easy to reach the West End by Tube from Liverpool Street.”

“Shoreditch is a fantastic area and Ace is the perfect base. Hoi Polloi dinner was superb. The room was comfortable with an industrial-chic vibe. Bit further from the traditional tourist sights but that's part of the appeal.”
It's about 20 minutes by Tube. Walk to Liverpool Street (10 minutes) and take the Central line to Tottenham Court Road (6 minutes). Or take the Overground from Shoreditch High Street.
Shoreditch is London's creative quarter — street art, independent boutiques, vintage markets, craft breweries and some of the city's best restaurants. It's vibrant day and night.
Yes, the hotel has a small fitness centre for guests. There's also a Shoreditch House members' club nearby with a rooftop pool, though that requires separate membership.
Hoi Polloi is excellent — modern European brasserie food in a stylish setting. It's popular for brunch on weekends too. Booking is recommended for dinner.
