About The Ritz London

The Ritz London needs no introduction. Since 1906, this palatial Piccadilly landmark has set the global standard for luxury hospitality, with its Louis XVI interiors, gilded chandeliers and impeccable service creating an atmosphere of pure grandeur. The legendary afternoon tea in the Palm Court — with its ornate ceiling and live harpist — is one of London's most coveted reservations.

Beyond the tea, The Ritz offers the Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant overlooking Green Park, the intimate Rivoli Bar for cocktails, and a casino for those feeling lucky. Rooms are lavishly appointed with silk curtains, antique furniture and marble bathrooms. The Piccadilly location places you within a ten-minute walk of the West End's finest theatres. For a once-in-a-lifetime London stay, The Ritz delivers on every count.

A dream come true. The afternoon tea was everything we'd hoped for — the sandwiches, scones and pastries were perfect. Our room overlooking Green Park was breathtaking. Worth every penny for a special occasion.

We stayed for our 25th anniversary and the staff made it unforgettable. Champagne waiting in the room, a beautiful dinner at the restaurant, then a short walk to the theatre. Absolute perfection.

The grandeur is simply unmatched. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're transported to another era. The Rivoli Bar makes exceptional cocktails. We walked to Les Misérables in under fifteen minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book afternoon tea in advance?

Absolutely — The Ritz afternoon tea is one of London's most popular reservations and often books out weeks ahead. Reserve online as early as possible, especially for weekends.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Gentlemen require a jacket and tie for the restaurant and Palm Court. Smart casual is acceptable in the Rivoli Bar and other areas. No jeans, trainers or sportswear.

How far is The Ritz from West End theatres?

Piccadilly Circus is a ten-minute walk east along Piccadilly. Most West End theatres are 10-15 minutes on foot. Green Park Tube gives you easy access to the rest of London.

Does The Ritz have a spa?

The Ritz does not have a full spa on-site, but in-room treatments can be arranged through the concierge. There are several luxury spas within a short walk.
