About SEA LIFE London Aquarium
SEA LIFE London Aquarium is one of Europe's largest aquariums, home to over 600 species and thousands of sea creatures in a stunning setting beneath County Hall on the South Bank. From tiny seahorses and mesmerising jellyfish to enormous sharks and graceful rays, the aquarium takes you on a journey through the world's oceans and waterways.
The experience is divided into themed zones representing different aquatic environments — the Rainforest Adventure takes you through tropical forests with free-flying birds and piranhas, the Ocean Tunnel surrounds you with sharks swimming overhead, and Penguin Point lets you watch gentoo penguins diving and playing. Interactive touch pools, feeding demonstrations and conservation talks run throughout the day, making this an engaging and educational experience for visitors of all ages.

“The shark tunnel is spectacular — my kids stood there for ages watching them glide overhead. The penguins were the highlight though. A lovely couple of hours.”

“Great aquarium, well laid out with lots of variety. We arrived at opening and had the place almost to ourselves. The jellyfish room is incredibly peaceful.”

“The touch pool was a huge hit with our 5-year-old. The rainforest section is really well done. Combine it with the London Eye next door for a great day out.”
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine tickets with the London Eye?
Yes — combo tickets with the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, London Dungeon and other Merlin attractions are available and offer significant savings.
Are there feeding times?
Yes, feeding demonstrations run throughout the day and are included in your admission. Check the schedule at the entrance for times — the shark and penguin feeds are particularly popular.
How long does a visit take?
Most visitors spend 1.5-2 hours. If you want to see all the feeding demonstrations and talks, allow a full morning or afternoon.
Is it suitable for very young children?
Absolutely. Toddlers love the bright colours, moving fish and touch pools. Some areas are darker (the deep sea zones) which very young children may find unsettling.
