About The Bloomsbury Hotel

The Bloomsbury Hotel occupies a magnificent Neo-Georgian building on Great Russell Street, directly opposite the British Museum. Originally designed by Edwin Lutyens in 1932, the building has been beautifully restored, blending period grandeur with contemporary comfort. The hotel is part of the Doyle Collection and offers 153 rooms finished in a classic English style with modern amenities.

The Coral Room bar, set beneath a soaring coral-pink barrel-vaulted ceiling, is one of London's most photogenic hotel bars and a wonderful spot for cocktails. The Dalloway Terrace — named for Virginia Woolf's literary connections to Bloomsbury — serves excellent seasonal food in a flower-filled setting. For theatre-goers, Tottenham Court Road station is a five-minute walk, putting you in the West End within minutes. The literary history of the neighbourhood adds an extra layer of charm to any stay.

The building is breathtaking — the lobby alone is worth a visit. We had cocktails in the Coral Room before walking to our show on Shaftesbury Avenue. The room was large by London standards and beautifully furnished. A real find.

Lovely hotel in a great Bloomsbury location. We spent the morning at the British Museum (literally across the road) then walked to the theatre in the evening. Dalloway Terrace lunch was a highlight. Rooms are elegant if a touch traditional for younger guests.

We stayed for three nights and loved every minute. The staff went above and beyond — they recommended a show we hadn't heard of and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Breakfast was excellent.
