Kensington, London
The Royal Garden Hotel commands a prime position overlooking Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace, offering guests some of the finest park views in London. This modern five-star hotel provides a more contemporary alternative to the area's traditional properties, with clean-lined rooms, a rooftop restaurant and excellent facilities including a spa and fitness centre.
Min Jiang on the tenth floor serves outstanding Cantonese cuisine — its wood-fired Peking duck is legendary — with panoramic views stretching from the palace to the City skyline. The Park Terrace restaurant offers all-day dining with garden views, and the cocktail bar is a sophisticated spot for an evening drink. The hotel is perfectly positioned for the museums of Exhibition Road, Hyde Park walks, and Kensington High Street shopping.

“Min Jiang alone is worth staying here — the Peking duck was sensational and the views extraordinary. Our room overlooked the gardens and the palace. Excellent modern hotel in a beautiful location.”

“Great hotel with amazing views. The room was spacious and modern, the spa was relaxing, and we walked to the V&A in five minutes. Good Tube connections to the rest of London.”

“We chose this hotel for Min Jiang and weren't disappointed — the dim sum lunch was the best I've had outside Hong Kong. The hotel itself is comfortable and well-run. Lovely park views.”
Yes, Min Jiang is very popular, especially for weekend dim sum and the wood-fired Peking duck (which must be ordered 24 hours ahead). Book well in advance.
Request a park-facing room for views of Kensington Gardens and the palace. These rooms are more expensive but the views are beautiful, especially at sunrise.
The hotel has a small car park with limited spaces available for a daily charge. Pre-booking is recommended. Public transport is generally more convenient.
The West End theatres are about 20 minutes by Tube. Take the District line from High Street Kensington to Embankment, then walk north. Or change at Earl's Court for the Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus.
